Book A Consult

Brittni Johnson, M.Ed., LPC

Hi, I'm Brittni and I am so glad you are here!

I found my relationship with dance changed for the better when I started working on myself interpersonally in addition to my physical training. Growing up as a competitive studio and dance team dancer, I felt the many stressors and challenges that our dancers feel today. When I began teaching, I saw the need for more intentional mental health care due to the stress, pressure, culture and demands of the dance world. After obtaining my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I became a different educator and member of our dance community. I was able to learn how to manage my own emotions, stressors and responses in a way that allowed me to show up better for my dancers and colleagues. I formed stronger, more meaningful relationships with my dancers as well as parents and staff. Most importantly, I developed a healthier relationship with myself that allowed me to show up in dance spaces more authentically, peacefully and in aligned with what I believe, want and need for myself.

I am passionate about bringing Alignment to you because I want you to have the knowledge, tools and inspiration to protect your own mental health while also protecting the mental health of your dancers. If we can elevate and incorporate more mental health and wellness into our dance training, it will help our dancers, dance parents, and dance educators all have more positive and healthy experiences with dance. This will boost success, longevity, happiness and fulfillment, all things I wish I could have experienced at a younger age.

"A high level of self-awareness in you will help create a healthy dance environment for them."
